Description
Everyone who owns an MP200i Eastwood welder can fabricate metal like a professional in their home shop. This multi-process welder from the Eastwood Elite series is designed to do it all. It includes pro-grade torches for MIG, TIG and stick welding that use common consumables. You can do wire-free flux core welding, too. They aren’t stripped-down torches, either — each of these processes has all the same capabilities and features as you would find in a standalone welder. The 200-amp output is enough to weld up to 3/8-inch thick steel, and with an Eastwood Spool Gun you can weld aluminum, too!
The R&D guys have made it possible to customize your 3-in-1 welder for every job. It has infinitely adjustable knobs, digital displays, a built-in spot weld timer and heavy-duty wire feed motor. By using the latest IGBT inverter technology, we’ve slimmed the welder down to just 34 pounds for portability. We’ve included all the supplies you need to get started, included a shielding gas hose, welding rods, gas nozzles and ray tungsten. Eastwood Elite welders have a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty and lifetime tech support.
If you're looking for one of the best multi-process 200 amp welders that is a fully functional AC/DC TIG machine that can weld steel and aluminum with a foot pedal for precise control and many other features, check out the Eastwood Elite AC/DC 200 Amp MP200i.

Duty Cycle
The rated Duty cycle refers to the amount of welding that can be done within an amount of time. The Eastwood MP200i has a duty cycle of 20% at 200 Amps for 230 Volts and 40% at 90 Amps for 120 Volts. It is easiest to look at your welding time in blocks of 10 Minutes and the Duty Cycle being a percentage of that 10 Minutes. If welding at 200 Amps with a 20% Duty Cycle, within a 10 Minute block of time you can weld for 2 Minutes with 8 Minutes of cooling for the Welder.
If the Duty Cycle is exceeded, the Welder will automatically shut off, however the fan will continue running to cool the components. When a safe temperature has been reached, the Welder will automatically switch the Welder output back on. To increase the duty cycle you can turn down the Voltage Output control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mr T from Very nice! So far so good! I love the versatility of this welder. So far my mig welding experience has shown what a good welder can do over my previous welder. Want to buy the spooler so that i can weld alum. The tig option will be my next endeavor. Love this welder

Rated 5 out of 5 by Larry A from Great little unit that handles everything you would need. Nice little unit for a home shop. As of right now it would have been nice if they could squeeze more the n 70 amps on 110v so a person could run with 3/32 E7018. I was able to to try the tig torch out on a couple of 3/4” pipe shelf supports for the wife yesterday and it worked great. The material was under a 1/16” but with a 1/16 tungsten it preformed as I expected it would.

Questions & Answers
Lift or HI frequency tig?
Asked by: Rube
This unit features a Lift or scratch start TIG function only. Our Eastwood Elite 200 Amp Multi-Process AC/DC MP200i Welder and our Eastwood MP250i Multi-Process 250 Amp Welder do have HF start and foot pedal options though.

Hello, I purchased many years ago the MIG 175/VersaCut 60 combo. Everything is still flawless and works like it did from day one, the MIG 175 came with the aluminum welding spool gun. Question: will the aluminum spool gun work with the MP200i ?
Asked by: bhyogy
The 20569 Elite MP200i uses a different spool gun design, unfortunately. However, 33980 MIG 180 or 33930 MIG 250 take the same one as long as your spool gun has the metal 2-pin trigger connector.

What’s the Smallest recommend wattage generator for this welder? Would a 9000 get away with it?
Asked by: Ditchboiz
If you need full power we recommend a 12000W. 9000W would likely be fine for about 150A output.
